China's earliest tourism planning practice started in the 1980's. Since the beginning of the 21 century, tourism planning has developed rapidly and formed a climax. China's travel industry has shifted from the past extensive and blind development mode to an intensive and scientific one. However, its late start and weak foundation brought some chaos to the domestic market of tourism planning and caused some problems that need solving urgently.
