Non-contingent reinforcement is a form of reinforcement. A particular response or behavior of an organism is not a prerequisite for it. For example, children are allowed to watch their favorite TV programs by parents no matter whether their homework is completed on time or not. This reinforcement can not prompt the child to finish the homework on time.
