危机咨询是咨询的一种。指咨询者帮助来访者预测可能出现的问题，并制定相应的干预措施和应付策略。并非在问题出现后，咨询者根据问题帮助来访者寻求解决问题的方案，而以发展的观点，着重培养来访者对可能出现的问题的预测能力及相应的处理能力。
英语语境:
Crisis counselling is a type of counselling which refers to the counselor helping the visitor predict the potential problems and devise corresponding preventive measures and coping strategies. It is not that after problems arise the counselor helps the visitor seek the solutions based on the problems, but rather that from the perspective of development, the counselor lays emphasis on cultivating the visitor's capability of forecasting and addressing the prospective problems.
