考察上海市前二十年的降雨污染过程，发现酸雨问题在污染程度和污染范围上有很大改善，目前已不是上海市的主要环境问题。但降雨污染中的其他成分如硝酸根、铵离子浓度有显著升高，超过背景值20-30倍，甚至有些超过地表水Ⅴ类水标准。因此对降雨污染的研究应提到保护和改善环境的议程上。
英语语境:
Shanghai's precipitation pollution process over the past two decades was reviewed and it has been found that acid rain pollution had been improved a lot in both its level and scope and it is no longer a major environmental problem in Shanghai. However, other types of pollutants in the precipitation pollution have been on the rise. For instance, concentrations of nitrate radical (NO3-) and ammonium ion (NH4 ) increase significantly and are 20-30 times above background value. Some components in the precipitation even approach level V of Surface Water Standards. It is therefore necessary to carry out research on the precipitation pollution in order to protect and improve the environment.
