Basic transmitting approach of external airflow noise towards the car was analyzed based on wind tunnel test. A solid transmission model and a leakage sound model for the car model were established and the SEA parameters for each subsystem were determined according to the statistical energy analysis (SEA) theory. Airflow noise generated from external fluctuating pressure was calculated by programming. The results were almost the same with the wind tunnel experiment results.
