众所周知，在工业污水处理中，反映出水质量的指标是五天生化需氧量(BOD_5)和化学需氧量(COD)。该两项指标是国际上公认和普遍采用的。我们在进行炼油污水处理的文献调查时，却发现Grutsch等人把所谓“直接需氧量”与 BOD_5和COD一起视做衡量原污水负荷的标准。
英语语境:
It is well known that in industrial wastewater treatment, the index indicating the quality of treated water is BOD-5 and COD. The two indexes are internationally recognized and universally adopted. When surveying literatures concerning refinery sewage treatment, we found that Grutsch and others consider immediate oxygen demand, BOD-5 and COD as the criteria for measuring sewage load.
