英语语境:
Inverted market is also called reverse market or backwardation. It means that in the special circumstances, the spot price is higher than the futures price (or the recent months contract price is higher than the forward contract price), and the basis is positive. In the reverse market, as time progresses, the spot price and future price as in the forward markets will gradually tend to be consistent when they turn to delivery months.
