Reliability allocation is a significant part of reliability analysis and an optimization process that not only meets the requirement of the overall safety condition of the system but also reduces the cost and promote public safety. Based on Fault Tree Analysis(FTA)and Analytic Hierarchy Process(AHP), a new reliability allocation method was put forward which includes two steps to allocate the reliability goal to minimum cutset and elementary event so as to allocate the reliability of the whole system effectively to subsystems and components.
