Contingency approach is the further development theory of management theory based on empiricism in the late 1960s and early 1970s. The theory was formed on the basis of the thought of handling the specific circumstances with corresponding countermeasures in western organizational management theory. According to contingency theory, the internal factors and external environmental conditions of different organizations are different, thus there is no principle or method that can be applied to any situation in management activities.
