群体冲突是在群体之间公开表露出来的敌意和相互对对方活动的干涉。从一个方面看，冲突将妨碍现有组织与人员的运转，但是群体冲突并不总是有害无益的。如果能保持在合理的程度和有限的重要事件上的话，那么冲突实际上能使组织更有效地运行。当前，滥设开发区、开发区用地规模过大导致的耕地面积锐减，以及由开发区的建设引发的土地征用矛盾和群体冲突事件等现象已成为我国经济社会可持续发展的障碍之一，并受到政府的关注。
英语语境:
Group conflict is the hostility and mutual interference of others'activities that are showed publicly among the groups. On the one hand, the conflict would hinder the operation of the organization. On the other hand, group conflict is not always harmful. If we can keep it to a reasonable extent and handle it properly, then it can actually increase the efficiency of the organization. At present, Chinese government pays more attention to the phenomenon that excessive development zone and over-scale land area of development zone results in the reduction of cultivated area, and the development zone construction results in land requisition contradiction and group conflicts, which has been one of obstacles of economic and society substantial development in China.
