To investigate the hospital infection management in order to decrease the incidence of hospital infection, we introduced zero defect management theory in hospital infection management and launched “zero defect “ movement with special influence from high rank officials. By perfecting quality guarantee system, we could realize quality standardization, enhance the construction of professional contingent and medical staff education, exclude the bad factors that affect quality managemnt and insist on persistent quality reform. So we gradually made up to ”zero defect“. The incidence of hospital infection was markedly lowered down. It is clear that the theory of zero defect is appropriate in hospital infection management.
