But this brings us to one last misunderstanding, of the same breed but perhaps even more serious, for it does not only involve our reading of Capital, or Marxist philosophy, but also the relationship between Capital and Marxist philosophy, hence the relationship between historical materialism and dialectical materialism – i.e., the meaning of Marx's work as a whole – and, lastly, the relationship between real history and Marxist theory.
