英语语境:
The concept of alienation, regarded today as one of the central concepts of Marxism, and widely used by both Marxists and non-Marxists, entered the dictionaries of philosophy only in the second half of the twentieth century. However, before it was recognized as an important philosophical term it was widely used outside philosophy. And before it was developed as a metaphilosophical (revolutionary) 'concept'in Marx, it was developed as a philosophical concept by Hegel and Feuerbach. In Marx's sense, alienation is always self-alienation, i.e. the alienation of man (of his self) from himself (from his human possibitities) through himself (through his own activity).
