大同异是先秦哲学家惠施提出的“历物十事”中的命题之一。惠施认为，大同和小同有所不同，这就是所谓的“小同异”。而世间万物在某种形式上都是相同的，换种方式却又大为不同，这就是所谓的“大同异”。
英语语境:
Hui Shi, a dialectician of the pre-Qin period, is famous for his proposal of ten paradoxes in Chinese history philosophy.Similarity-and-difference is one of them. According to him, there is a disctinction between the the little similarity-and-difference and the great similarity-and-difference. The former focuses on the part of difference. In the meantime, it should be realized that all things in the universe are in a way similar though in another way they are all different. This is called the great similarity-and-difference.
