英语语境:
The proposal of great unification first appeared in Gongyangs Commentary on the Spring and Autumn Annals. Dong Zhongshu in the Han Dynasty, came up with the principle of the great unification so as to assist the lord to sustain his rule for the state. He maintained that the hundred schools of thoughts should be discarded and Confucianism be respected only. All the laws, regulations and moral standards must go in line with the principle of great unification.
