汉语语境:
从传统上看，自我知识在知识论中具有特殊的地位。它被认为是与对外部事物认知不同的知识。其主要原因在于自我知识是通过内省，即“向内看”，而不是“向外看”获得的。不管外部环境如何，我们都可以通过内省的方式看到心智内部的一些对象。这些对象是由内在因素，也就是传统语义学中的内涵决定的。
英语语境:
Traditionally speaking, self-knowledge, regarded as the knowledge different from cognition about things in the external world, plays a special role in epistemology. The main reason lies in that self-knowledge is obtained by introspection, namely, "looking inward" instead of "looking outward". No matter how external environment changes, we could still see some objects in the mind by introspection. These objects are determined by some internal factors, i.e. "intensions" in traditional semantics.
