It is unwise to define value as the subject's needs that object can meet. This would easily lead to the overstress on the subject's value and negligence of the ecological value. Only by regarding value as the mutually beneficial relationship between subject and object can people attach importance to the ecological value. By ecological value is meant the economic, cultural and aesthetic value for human beings. Under the global ecological crisis, it is urgent to coordinate the relationship between the value of the contemporary generation and the value of the next generation and that between the value of some people and the value of all humankind, and to create an ecological civilization in which subject and object are mutually beneficial.
