众所周知，越南佛教是以禅宗为主的。但到此时，很少人了解越南禅宗的思想、历史及其影响。中央佛教会的老和尚们想把越南禅宗深刻地研究，目的在于使禅宗再一次复兴起来，但力不从心。随着政府的改革开放政策，几部关于越南佛教史的书和一些关于禅学论文集问世。但几乎只谈到越南佛教史，有时很偏面。有人把佛教思想看成马克思思想，成为马克思化佛教。重要的是他们都提不出越南禅的特点及其思想来源来，所以引起学者们与佛教界的不满。

英语语境:

 It is well known that the School of Zen is the most powerful in Vietnamese Buddhism. But until now few people know the thoughts, history and influences of the Vietnamese Zen . Patriarchs of The Central Buddhism Committee of Vietnam want to revive the School of Zen by researches of the Vietnamese Zen, but they are not able to do what they want. Some books and anthologies on Vietnamese Buddhism rarely discusses the School of Zen. Some scholars confuses the Buddhism with Marxism and makes a Marxist Buddhism. They can not clarify the characteristics of the Vietnamese Zen and its origin of thoughts.

就宗派来说,北宗的建立是以禅宗成立为逻辑前提的,而在禅宗建立问题上,学界分歧较大。有一种说法是，禅宗成立于东山法门之时。相应地，北宗是承继于东山法门之后的宗派,其肇始者正是法如。

英语语境:

The establishment of Zen is the premise of the appearance of the Northern School. And on the issue of the foundation of Zen, there is a sharp divergence in the academia. There is a belief that Zen in China is established on the basis of the East Mountain Teaching. The initiator of the Northern school is accordingly Fa Ru.
