Jun'Tai was an altar that was used to offer sacrifice to Heaven in the early civilization of China. It is situated in Chong Mountain of Xiangfan of Shanxi province. Its name is derived from the assumption that the alter was located right beneath the center of heaven where the heavenly god lived. Some once believed that Jun'Tai is situated in Yuzhou city of Henan province and is used as a prison in the Xia Dynasty.This viewpoint is apparently incorrect.
