The Shigong religion of the Zhuang people was a folk belief growing out of "Yue Wu”(witchcraft of the ancient Yue people), a belief of their ancestors.Before the introduction of Taoism, it was a spontaneous religion.After the introduction of Taoism, in order to compete with it, Shigong belief began to absorb and integrate some elements of Taoism, Buddhism and Confucianism, and developed gradually into a religion in a strict sense.
