英语语境:
A "combining" view on structures of Chinese characters research is to combine "software" with "hardware". The two elements influence, penetrate and even transform each other. It is by means of this kind of mutual relationship that the research work is done. The research on Chinese characters "hardware" is called mediaology of Chinese characters. The research on Chinese characters "software" is divided into two parts: Frame workology of Chinese characters and stylology of Chinese characters.
