会话分析研究建立在对大量数据的采集分析基础之上，主要为解释性分析，用归纳法总结出“机构性话语”的特征，这种方法的优点是它能最大程度上还原现实中的语言，但是由于它的基本理念是一句话与其之前的话语的联系以及对其之后话语的暗示，所以这种解释更为注重话语之间的引起与被引起，并不能反映机构话语特征的更深层次上的动因。

英语语境:

Conversational analysis is mainly explanatory analysis on the basis of collection and analysis of a great quantity of data, and then come up with the characteristics of institutional discourse. The advantage of this methodology is that it could maximize the authenticity of ordinary discourse. However, its basic idea is what an utterance does in relation to the preceding ones and what implications an utterance poses for the next ones. Thus this kind of explanation could not reflect the motivation on a deeper level, for it focuses more on the relation between sentences.
