Yaxue explores the works of Erya together with its examples and expandments. Many scholars merely focus on the division of the works of Erya from the historical perspective. These researches often neglect the intrinsic relationship in yaxue, i.e. the relation between Erya and the works of yaxue. Without the longitudinal description of the current study of yaxue, it is impossible to establish the macroscopic framework of yaxue.
