There has been increasing attention on the affinity between Chinese poetry and the Japanese haiku, but so far researches have only been limited to the narrow sense of Chinese poetry, which, in fact, includes all rhyming verses and dramatic lines. A comprehensive study of the imprint of Chinese poetry in its full sense on the Japanese haiku is a worthwhile task for the comparative literary studies of Chinese and Japanese literature.

英语语境:

Zen has an important influence on the Chinese literature of the Tang Dynasty, as well as on the Japanese Pai poems after it was introduced to Japan. Owing to the differences between Chinese and Japanese culture, Zen manifested in different ways in these two kinds of poems: a new type of poem called Zen poetry appeared in China with the ideas of Buddhism combined with Confucianism and Taoism; while Japanese Pai poems absorbed Zen more purely, and even taking it as its dominant idea.
