Mime has a long history. Although it has its own tradition in Britain, it is international in terms of its origin as many of its plots are from all over the world. The word “mime” is originated from Greek which means “imitator”. Obviously, the original meaning refers to performers instead of types of dramas. In fact, this method of performance has been existent in ancient China, Persia and Egypt. Mime was most popular during Roman times.
