在诗歌中，“有我”易于抒情，所谓“以我观物”，带有明显的作者主观色彩；“无我”则纯为写景，所谓“以物观物”，作者不介入，却有利于读者身临其境，实现物我交融。小说亦与此相类。近代小说中“有我”之作品大多有强烈的主观意识，说教色彩浓厚，但艺术感染力稍逊。

英语语境:

In the conception of “self-in” in writing poem, the poet self goes into the prospect to declare his or her emotion. The poetry thus done is full of the poet's emotional flavor. In contrast, we find in the poetry of “self-out” nothing concerned with the poet self, but the prospect itself displayed, with the reader stepping into and mingling with the scene. So it is in writing novels. The modern Chinese “self-in” novels are mostly imbued with the writer's subjective ideas and the preaching color, lacking in artistic appeal to some extent.
