Being different from the traditional one, the modern study of metaphor aims to expand from the simple study of rhetoric to a new comprehensive study including poetics, semiology, semantics, hermeneutics and science of thought. In the new field of vision, the advantage of metaphor should change into a politicized rhetoric with modern meaning, a spiritual world reborn in the aesthetic meaning, a new mode of thinking and a new method of cognition. Also, metaphor is a kind of cultural code, and a result of symbol production and reproduction.
