It has been a basic method for many scholars to study Tanci for reading and Tanci for performances respectively since the late Qing Dynasty on this filed. And apparently they emphasized more on the former. After studying Suzou Pingtan as a case, it explores the way how to understand and grasp the integrity of Tanci and its effect on normal people, the oretical feasibility to study Tanci by means of returning to circumstances where it occurrs, and the posibility of studying Tanci for reading and for performances simultaneously.
