“碑学”是从清乾嘉时期崛起的以宗碑贬帖为特征的书学流派。以王羲之、王献之为正宗的“帖学”体系在明清时期己发展成程式化的“馆阁体”。面对毫无生机的书坛,阮元、包世臣、康有为为代表的碑学学者掀起了学习和研究北碑的热潮。碑学充分体现了书法艺术的继承与创新,使书法艺术摆脱了实用性的束缚,反映了人们对雄强刚阳书风的追求,促进了书法艺术的个性化、人性化,给晚清书坛带来新的活力,成为清代书法艺术的转折点。


英语语境:

Stele calligraphy art features the calligraphy school characterized by “appreciating stele style, deprecating Tie style” which springs up in the Qianjia period of the Qing dynasty. Orthodox calligraphy of Tie style represented by Wang Xizhi and Wang Xianzhi has fallen into a routine style called “Guange” in the Ming dynasty and the Qing dynasty. To innovate the uncreative calligraphy art in that time, Ruan Yuan, Bao Shichen and Kang Youwei, on behalf of the stele calligraphic learners, aroused the enthusiasm of studying the stele calligraphy art in the Northern Dynasties. The stele calligraphy art inherited from the traditional calligraphy and innovated itself, independent from pragmatical opinions, and reflective of the pursuit of masculinity, and it brought into a new life and acted as a turning point of the calligraphy in late Qing dynasty.
