英语语境:
The vest ("Bitan"in Chinese), a kind of clothes of Han nationality, is also called "sweat clothes". The book Definitions of Names·Definitions of costumes gives the following account of "sweat clothes": the clothing that touches the body to absorb sweat. In the Book of Songs, the vest is called Ze, used to absorb sweat. Alternatively, it is called Bitan, and Xiutan (literally means one is ashamed of exposing one's body), which can be tailored to a clothing in 6 Chi (a unit of length, =1/3 metre) to cover one's chest and back so as to refrain him/her from the guilt of nakedness.
