英语语境:
“Come to blows” refers to the belligerent parties using a variety of weapons such as whips, knives, swords, double guns and so on to do throwing, kicking, taking, transferring, delivering and other conscious skills of getting rid of others. As the plot of the story in the opera develops and when the conflict of the plot reaches its climax, mostly stunts of “come to blows” are used to render the fighting atmosphere, heighten the characters'prowess, and show the intense scenes of fighting between the two sides. Therefore, it is much easier to portray characters vividly, develop plots and represent the characters.
