在山西省右玉县杀虎口乡马营河村的五圣庙内，现存一座明代创建的乐楼，并存有清乾隆九年(1744)重修乐楼花名碑一通。正殿脊枋上还有康熙五十二年(1713)、乾隆四年(1739)的重修题记。这是迄今为止戏剧考古发现的唯一的一座由满洲驻军主持修复的汉族神庙和戏台，表明清军在征服全国不久就接受了汉民族的宗教信仰，同时也接受了汉民族的戏曲艺术。这座乐楼在中国剧场史上具有独特的认识价值和非同寻常的历史意义。

A play house at Youyu County, Shanxi Province, was built in the Ming Dynasty and renovated several times in the Qing Dynasty. Renovation inscription on the timber reveals the fast process of cultural assimilation the Manchuians experienced after they accomplished the miliary conquest of the mass territory to the south of the Great Wall. The theatre house in question is the only extant one of the kind in China, and thus bears special significance in the history of theatre in China.
