The design of book formation means the design art of booksize, fonts, layout, illustrations, title page, cover and paper, printing, binding and materials, that is, it's the process from original stuffs into an integrated book. It comes through a long history and showed different book formation and different materials at different historical periods. In particular, the development of materials and technology promoted the development of design of newbook form, then many problem follows. Book formation design cannot be separated from the material, printing, and binding. Book designers should make every imagination come ture with the popularization of computer technology, laser phototypesetting, powerful software, etc. At the same time, technology innovatioin and development force the designers constantly innovating in order to create new forms of creativity from new technology.
