This article discusses the relations and the value of the various editions of The Book of Rites. The author thinks current editions can be divided into two systems, one is The Tang Confucian Classics Carved on the Stone and the Song official edition system which includes Fuzhou edition and eight-column edition with explanatory notes and commentaries. The other system includes Yu Renzhong's edition, chart-compiling and inter-explanatory edition, ten-column edition with explanatory notes and commentaries, Min edition, official edition and Mao's edition.
