Kang cabinet is one of the common objects on Kang (a heatable brick bed) in Northeastern China. Such furniture is predominantly oblong and made from wood. In the Northeast, people usually lay it on the edge of the Kang against the wall to keep the bedding and clothing. In the past when there was scant furniture, many elderly people would put their favorites inside the kang cabinet.
