罗戏与卷戏系河南省传统剧种，被誉为“百戏之祖”的罗戏在中原生存发展已有 300 多年历史，曾在豫北的滑县、豫中的通许以及豫南的大部分县市留有遗存。卷戏是驻马店汝南县土生土长的民间小戏，后与流入此地的罗戏合台演出，并以“罗卷戏”称之。追溯罗卷戏的历史，最早可见于清乾隆年间李禄园小说《歧路灯》中的“梆罗卷”。
英语语境:
Both Luo Opera and Juan Opera are the traditional operas in Henan Province. Luo, hailed as the "ancestor of all operas", has survived and developed for about 300 years in the Central Plains. Luo Opera has remained in many places, such as Hua County in nothern Henan, Tongxu in central Henan and most cities and towns in southern Henan. Juan Opera is the native folk opera in Runan County, Zhumadian City. It was put on stage together with Luo Opera that spread there, and as a result, they were given a collective name "Luo-Juan Opera". The history of Luo-Juan opera can be traced back to the Bang Luo Volume in Qiludeng, a novel written by Li Luyuan in the reign of Emperor Qiang Long in the Qing Dynasty.
