By comparison and anaysis, this paper shows that the driving mechanisms of the clampping plate and separating roller in FA251 combing machine have an advantage over that in A201C combing machine in respect of mechanics and technological property. As a result, the FA251 coming machine, when running at high speed, has less vibration, lower noise, and higher degree comber web over lapping. The eveness of the combing sliver can also be improved. In addition, the hairy or broken edges and combing apast of the combing web can be avoided.
