清末，由于社会动荡，加之水旱灾害严重，大批农民不得不背井离乡以乞讨为生。乞唱莲花落也流布全国各地，并与各地民俗相结合，产生出多种地域性的曲艺莲花落，并出现多种称谓：如莲花闹、七块板、呱哒板等。其共同特点是击节而歌，击节乐器多为大竹板与节子板。
英语语境:
In the late Qing dynasty, due to the social unrest and natural disasters, large numbers of farmers had to leave their homes to beg for a living. As a result, beggars ballads also spread all over the country and were combined with local customs. Accordingly, a variety of regional beggars ballads were produced, along with many different names: such as Lotus Ballads, Seven Clappers, Dada Clappers, etc. They were all accompanied by clappers, mostly large bamboo clappers and small ones.
