"Qiewuqie Dance" is a widespread traditional folk dance of Lisu nationality in Yunnan. "Qiewuqie Dance" is also called "Qianwuqian Dance" and "Sanxian Dance", the latter meaning "dance while plucking the strings". The rich content conveyed by "Qiewuqie Dance" can be roughly divided into three types: imitating animals, depicting labouring and everyday life, as well as illustrating merely the variations in dance steps without any particular meanings.
