Three-chord melody of Qin county, also known as old state melody, is a genre of Han rap in Shanxi Province, prevalent in Qin County, Wuxiang, Qinyuan, Xiangyuan in southeastern Shanxi; Yushe, Zuoquan in central Shanxi; Anze, Fushan in southern Shanxi and other places. It is preliminarily postulated that by the late Ming Dynasty and early Qing Dynasty, three-chord melody of Qin county had already evolved into a major art form.
