山东柳琴俗称“土琵琶”，形似柳叶，也称“柳叶琴”。据《沂州府志》等史料记载，该乐器于清乾隆二十五年产于临沂地区，为早期的“拉魂腔”和后来因以柳琴为主要伴奏乐器而改名的柳琴戏的主伴乐器。
英语语境:
"Shandong liuqin", whose folk name is "tupipa", has the shape of a willow leaf, and thus is also referred to as "liuyeqin(willow-leaf lute)". According to historical records, this instrument orignated in Linyi in Shandong Province in the 25th year of the reign of Emperor Qing Emperor in the Qing Dynasty. It serves as the dominant accompaniment instrument for early "lahunqiang opera" and "liuqin opera" which adopted the new name because "liuqin"(willow-leaf lute) was its main accompaniment instrument.
