People of the Jing nationality usually dance for farewell to gods and exorcism, and this particular dance is to flourish a decorated stick. A young girl, in a white long gown, carrying a 40cm-long colourful ribbons-decorated stick, dances to the beat of drums. This stick is said to be magic and capable of expelling evil spirits. She swings the stick back and forth, and dances to the north, south, west and east respectively, in order to drive off the evil and make a way for the sacred.
