汉语语境:
四平腔是在明嘉靖年间由传入徽州(今安徽歙县)一带的弋阳腔演变形成，“四平”是由句尾落四拍子的板式得名。明末清初时，四平腔受昆腔影响发展出“吹腔”。清中叶以后，四平腔为徽调、高腔等所吸收，成为其常用腔调之一，而不复独立存在。
英语语境:
Evolved from Yiyang opera in the Huizhou district during the Jiajing period in the Ming dynasty, the siping tone features four beats in the end of lyrics. Influenced by the Kun opera in the early Qing dynasty, the siping tone involved the blowing tone and it was gradually applied in Hui and high-pitched tones as a dependent musical style after the middle of the Qing dynasty.
