英语语境:
The choices of the size of format and material of books determine different spine space of the books. Specific space determines the uniqueness of designing language. It is not an easy task to fully use this spine space of the books that shows “each inch being valuable as same as gold”. This is because the use of various visual elements including fonts, font choices, and the top margin of a page as well as use of decorative language for the bottom of the books. The spine space has usually a long and narrow shape, and in designing the spine space, the style of artistic design for the whole book needs to be considered and the spine space cannot be designed independently.
