台湾静宜大学专任教授张继光先生在《静宜人文社会学报》发表的《明清俗曲在台湾北管细曲之发展暨传播过程试探》中说，北管是台湾传统最受欢迎的曲种之一。就其音乐内容而言，大致可分为牌子、弦谱、细曲及戏曲四部分。其中的细曲又称“昆腔”、“大小牌”，有时也写成“幼曲”，是一种以演唱歌曲为主的表演形式。

Full-time professor Mr Ji-guang zhang in Taiwan Providence University, in his article “Exploring the development and transmission of folk songs in Ming and Qing dynasty in Taiwan north tube and fine tune”, said that north tube is one of the most popular traditional tune types in Taiwan. In terms of its music content, it can be roughly divided into four parts including tune titles, string music score, fine tune and drama. Among them, the fine tune is also called “melodies for kunqu opera”, and “big and small tune titles”, and sometimes written as “you (young or tender) tune”; it is a kind of performance form that mainly includes singing songs.
