新疆曲子戏，是国家文化部认可的新疆惟一汉语言地方剧种，距今已有百余年的历史，2006 年该剧种被列入了首批国家级非物质文化遗产代表作名录，是新疆第一批入选国家非物质文化遗产的项目。 《新疆曲子辑注》曰：“新疆曲子孕育于18世纪60年代，在新疆本地小调与陕西眉户、兰州鼓子、青海干弦等相互碰撞相互融合的基础上，于光绪年间形成。”它主要分布在汉民族聚居的城乡，特别是陕甘宁青籍居住的地方，主要在乌鲁木齐、奇台、哈密、昌吉、呼图壁、玛纳斯、焉耆、伊犁等地的汉、回、锡伯族中间广泛传唱，甚至在一些维族人当中也有人演唱。

英语语境:

Xinjiang Quzi Opera, recognized by the State Ministry of Culture, the only Chinese language local operas in Xinjiang, have passed a hundred years of history. In 2006 the opera was included in the first batch of national intangible cultural heritage list and was the first selection in Xinjiang national intangible cultural heritage items. “Xinjiang Quzi series of Notes” said: “ Xinjiang Quzi was conceived in the 18th century 60's, blending Xinjiang local minor and Shaanxi Meihu, Lanzhou Drum, Qinghai dry string into each other.” It mainly distributes in urban and rural areas inhabited by Han Chinese, particularly young Aboriginal Ning, and widely sung in Urumqi, odd sets, Hami, Changji, Hutubi, Manas, Yanqi, Yili and other places of the Han, Hui, Xibe even among some Uighurs.
