“旋风装”是中国古代图书装帧中的一种较为特殊的形式，李致忠先生明确指出“古书的旋风装， 就是在卷轴式的底纸上， 将书叶鳞装；收卷时，书叶鳞次朝一个方向旋转，宛如旋风，所以又称为旋风装，或旋风卷子”。他同时认为，“龙鳞装”亦即“旋风装”。
英语语境:
"Whirlwind binding" is a special form of book binding in ancient China. Mr. Li Zhizhong explicitly pointed out that "the whirlwind binding of ancient books refers to binding the leaves into a scale-like fashion on the bottom of paper roll and that in wrapping up, turning the book leaf scales towards one direction, which is like a whirlwind; hence it is also known as the whirlwind binding." He also held that "scale-like binding" is "whirlwind binding".
