At this point, Xian sigil has played a critical and functional role and its use has gradually been a social norm, which indicates that seal cutting has become an art in social culture. As far as the art is concerned, seal cutting reached the peak of this field and broke the convention that “studying seal cutting must follow the traits of Qin and Han Dynasties“. As an important part of seal cutting, Yin Pu, an ancient seal book, also enriched the expressive force for it includes the beauty of calligraphy, painting, sculpture and diction. The development of Yin Pu and Bian Kuan abounded the connotation of the sigil art and was identified to have the same social status with poetry, calligraphy, and painting in Qing Dynasty. As a result, seal cut became a typical subject in the art field.
