Bone flute, one kind of flutes, is the earliest musical instrument. It is also called eagle flute or eagle bone flute popular among the Zang nationality, the Tajik nationality and the Kirgiz nationality. It is widely spread in Tibet, Qinghai, Yunnan, Sichuan and Gansu. It is commonly used in solo as an entertaining instrument played by the youth of Zang nationality. It is usually played when they are grazing in summer or taking a break after hardwork in the field. They often play Chunbo, Shangshan, Xiashan and so on with it.
