The Kishi Nobusuke cabinet period is an important part for the relationships between Japan and Taiwan after WWⅡ.In this period of time, the political, economical, cultural, and “diplomatic“ relations between Japan and Taiwan showed a tendency to go closer. Essentially speaking, the Kishi Nobusuke cabinet's policies towards Taiwan bore strong characteristics of the ideology of Cold War, which had been restricted by the East-West confrontation structure. Kishi Nobusuke adopted a hostile attitude towards China on the Taiwan question. By adding the “Clause of the Far East“ to the newly signed “Japan-American Security Treaty“, Kishi Nobusuke cabinet worsened the relationships between China and Japan to a new extent after WWⅡ.
